Seller Rating:
Beth Cannon was wonderful as she not only understood how much I loved my condo, having owned a similar condo at Society Hill herself, but she also knew the regulations of the condo's association, having served on their board as well. For this reason, I trusted Beth implicitly to find the best buyer for me - someone whom would love my home as much as I did and give me a fair price for it - and she accomplished all this and more. If I ever decide to purchase another home, I would want to use Beth Cannon again for her professionalism and expertise and her wonderful enthusiasm as well!
I have used another agency before when I first purchased my condo and also several years later when I sold my father's house after his death; however, of the agents that I have dealt with, Beth is by far the best and most compassionate agent I could ever have hoped to have. Selling my home was a very difficult transaction for me as I had lived in my home for over 16 years and had hoped to keep it forever, but when I found myself unable to do so, I truly appreciated having Beth there to gently "hold my hand" each step of the way, thereby making what could have been a difficult and traumatic transaction for me, go much more easily and smoothly as well.
I can imagine how very hard it is for any agent to sell a home when the seller "has to sell" for financial reasons rather than for personal gain. Beth was faced with those obstacles when she met me. Yet, she was so wonderfully compassionate and patient with me that with her help, I was finally able to "let go" and move on.
In looking back, I won't deny I would have liked to have received more money from the sale of my home, particularly since the buyers not only wanted the home, but also everything it contained including my appliances and my furnishings. Had I not moved into my husband's house that was already furnished in his taste, I may have excluded the furnishings with the sale, or would have insisted that I obtain my full asking price for everything. However, hindsight is always 20/20, and I am extremely grateful to Beth for ensuring a quick and smooth sales transaction on my behalf. She initially confirmed that my home was worth $140K and that's exactly the amount I received from the sale. I am also indebted to Beth for being able to salvage my vintage Turtle lamp for me which I had forgotten to exclude on the sales agreement. He was the first item I purchased in my first apartment 25 years ago,and one piece of furniture that I refused to leave behind.
Thank you Beth for helping me sell my home. I will never forget your kindness and compassion to me. You are truly an angel in disguise....
